Why the shift from music to technology?
I am a digital native - I’ve always been interested in web and application development. My first interaction with coding was when I learned a little HTML/CSS to customize my MySpace page (yes, seriously). I would have pursued technology as a career earlier if I had known that it was one, but classes in coding and design were never offered in school for me until college.
Why consider a career in technology?
#1 - I love to learn and push limits, and the world of technology is just getting started - it will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
#2: I believe women make things better, and there just isn’t enough visibility for women in tech right now, but there are a lot of great people working to change that, and I want to be part of that positive change.
